CSE2NEF is Networking Fundamentals, which is the foundation course for the Information Technology program at La Trobe University. Through this course, you will learn about the architecture, functions, and components of the OSI and TCP/IP layer models, as well as the basics of how to find IP addresses. At the end of the course, you can describe the entire OSI model and how adjacent layers interact with each other, identify the functions of each OSI layer, and apply this knowledge to build networks, introduce LAN technology, design and implement a LAN IP address scheme, and create and configure a small TCP/IP data network.

Assignment 2 is the Lab Exam. This task was carried out in week 11 and accounted for 20%.
Assignment 3 is the Final Exam. It is divided into two sections, Section A and Section B. In Section A, there are 33 indeterminate multiple-choice questions with 50 choices. Each choice is worth 1.5 points. The total is 75 points. It should be noted that there may be more than one correct answer to the indefinite multiple-choice question. Q2 is the 6 questions using VLSM for IP subnets with a total score of 18 points, and the 15 questions in Section B are worth 3 points each. PS: One point will be deducted if you do not write the VLSM subnet prefix in your answer. The final examination will take place in Week 13, and the full score is 120 points, which will account for 50% of the total assessment mark.
