ACCT1056 Auditing – writing, presentation, case study, group work design, auditing report

ACCT1056 Auditing is an auditing course with 3 assignments: Assignment 1 is an in-class presentation, Assignment 2 is a group assignment, and Assignment 3 is an individual audit report. Taking this course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the role, stages, and process of auditing in the validation of financial reports. Assignment 1 in-class presentation requires students to make their own choice or to give a presentation according to the teacher's assignment. There are 34 articles to choose from. The content of the video report can be customer meetings and communication or audit expert meetings. The weighting of Assignment 2 is 30% and requires equal contributions from group members.

 

Assignment 3 is the Final report. Based on the case study, it is assumed that the students themselves, as part of the AuditTek audit team, review the case company's quarterly reports and describe how to analyze, research, and identify areas that need to be audited. The word count requirement of the report is about 2000 words, and the weighting of it is 50%. The inspection content and scope of the Final Report are relatively wide, and students are required to make a research summary based on the overall content and skills of the course.
