MIS202 App, Web Design and Development is a required course at the School of Bus Information Systems, University of Torrance. Its evaluation can be divided into three assignments. Since the previous assignment is the basis for the next one, the quality of the previous assignments should be ensured.
Assignment 1: UX prototype task design and thesis
Weighting 30%;
UX prototypes and a 1000-word essay are required;
Assignment 1 requires students to read and understand a case study about the development of a website to help students find affordable accommodation platforms first. Based on this case study, some tasks are completed so that students can understand the functional requirements of the website, solve the architectural design of the website, and develop a UX prototype for the website in the case study. The detailed requirements for Assignment 1 include a total of 5 tasks, each of which is specified accordingly. Since the completion of Assignment 1 will directly affect Assignment 2, it is suggested to take ass1 seriously and consult GPA Expert in detail.
Assignment 2 Frontend Programming Project
Weighting 30%;
Assignment 2 and Assignment 3 are based on a UX website prototype developed in Assignment 1. Assignment 2 is the front end of the development site. This assignment requires students to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript programming skills in web development projects. GPA Expert
Assignment 3 Backend Programming Project and Presentation
Weighting 40%;
The task is programming + 10 min presentation;
Assignment 3 is a group assignment based on Assignment 1 and Assignment 2. The group negotiates the web front-end development project that needs to be used and builds the discussion around that project. After that, the team completed the development of the website background in strict accordance with the seven requirements given. Finally, the team was given 10 minutes to present the entire site and complete a team member evaluation form. The content to be submitted includes a zip package and an MP4 file.
