FINS2643 Wealth Management and Client Engagement mainly introduces the institutionalized process of financial planning. The main teaching purpose of this course is to guide students to learn how to manage personal finance, credit, investments, and other wealth management tasks. It takes into account financial choices a person might encounter over a lifetime, such as savings, home ownership and consumer credit, asset allocation, portfolio construction, insurance and retirement planning, among others. Customer engagement and communication skills are also incorporated into the financial planning process. Finally, it details the professional ethics of financial advisers.
There are 4 assignments for FINS2643 evaluation.
Assignment 1 is the course participation assessment task. Assignment 1 is worth 20% of the total value and is divided into 5 subtasks. The five sub-tasks are: pre-lecture research task and after-lecture discussion task (4%), Tutorial class contribution task (5%), Tutorial group demonstration task (5%), and three self-assessment tests (2% for each test, 6% in total). These tasks can easily be scored with attendance and active participation in class discussions. The final self-assessment tests were conducted on week 4, week 7 and week 10 respectively. Assignment 2 is the Mid-Term Test. This Test is held on Friday of the week. Its main purpose is to check students' mastery and application of the theoretical knowledge of the first half of the semester. This task is worth 20% of your grade and the exam will last less than an hour. Relatively speaking, the examination of the mid-term exam is more difficult and requires good preparation.
Assignment 3 is the Financial Planning blog task. It requires students to complete tasks on the blog within a specified time, with submission times of week 3 and week 10. Week10 also has to submit Meta reflections. This task is worth 20% of the total value. Do not worry too much if you forget to submit it within the specified time.
